Akshay Kumar arrives at Prayagraj ahead of Mahashivratri; takes a Holy dip at Maha Kumbh – Watch

This morning, Akshay Kumar arrived at the Triveni Sangam to partake in a ‘shahi snaan’ in the holy waters during the Maha Kumbh. Recognized as one of the most significant events of 2025, the Maha Kumbh is particularly special, occurring only once every 144 years, while the Poorna Kumbh takes place every 12 years. This year’s celebration is marked by a rare celestial alignment of the Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter. It makes the Maha Kumbh is an extraordinary and auspicious occasion.

Akshay Kumar takes Holy dip at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj

Over the past month, devotees from around the world have flocked to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. They seek a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam. Today, the renowned Bollywood star Akshay Kumar joined the throngs of pilgrims. Dressed in a simple white kurta pyjama, he made his way through the bustling crowd to the water’s edge.

Upon reaching the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, Akshay knelt with folded hands. He then stepped into the water for his royal dip. After immersing himself, he emerged drenched and took the time to shake hands with excited fans gathered along the ghat.

The ‘shahi snaan’ is believed to purify the body and soul. Before Akshay, other actors like Anupam Kher, Vicky Kaushal, and Tamannaah Bhatia had also visited Prayagraj. They participated in the unique experience of Maha Kumbh.
